Bryan Bixby - Alberta Rose Theater

Stand-up Comedy at The Gateway Show

Bryan Bixby is a Chicago-based comic (formerly from Portland, OR) who’s been in the game since 2015. Originally from the small town of La Farge, WI, he tried comedy for the first time in high school at the age of 15 and continued performing at local events throughout his teenage years. After moving to Portland, his quick wit, twisted takes, and rapid-fire delivery made him a staple in the comedy scene, earning him the title of “Portland’s Funniest Person” from Willamette Week.
A regular at Helium Comedy Club and Tacoma Comedy Club, and an established headliner at bars, clubs, and theaters all around the Pacific Northwest, Bixby was a four-time finalist in Portland’s Funniest Contest, three-time finalist in the Oregon Comedy Competition, and two-time winner of the City vs. City Comedy Smackdown. He’s played at comedy festivals and clubs across the country, worked with comics like Dave Attell, Kyle Kinane, and Jeff Arcuri and has been heard on The Doug Stanhope Podcast.
Since relocating to Chicago in 2024, Bryan has performed at places like Laugh Factory, Zanies, and Comedy On State, appeared at festivals including Madison Comedy Week and Motor City Comedy Festival, and can be seen headlining at comedy clubs and Indie shows throughout the Midwest and beyond.
